Common questions
Does it really work without internet?
Yes. Every sale, product and expense is saved on your device first, so the till keeps working during blackouts or when bundles run out. When the connection returns, Biashara POS syncs in the background. You need internet once, to log in on a new device.
Do I need to buy special hardware?
No. An Android phone or any computer with Chrome is enough to start. If you scan a lot, any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner works. Thermal receipt printers are coming soon.
Can I use it on more than one till?
Yes. Each till works on its own and they all sync to the same account, so stock and sales add up correctly across every device.
Does it take M-Pesa?
Today you can record cash, card and M-Pesa payments on each sale. Sending the payment request straight to the customer's phone is coming soon, for both Till (Buy Goods) and Paybill numbers.
Is my data safe?
Your data is backed up to the cloud every time you sync, so a lost or broken phone doesn't mean lost records. We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, and you can export everything at any time.
Can I bring my products from Excel?
Yes. Send us your product list on WhatsApp during your trial and we'll load it for you.
What happens after the free trial?
Pick a plan and pay by M-Pesa to keep going. If you decide not to continue, nothing is charged, since we never ask for a card.
